I’m uber excited to be releasing my new song Amazing on Sound. It’s been a year and some change since I released anything independently. The fact that I get to release it in Web3 is so incredible. I’ve been doing a lot of dope things this year and with this being one of them I’m excited to give you more. There’s a lot of good that’s going on in the music NFT space and I’m so happy to see and be a part of it. I’m honestly glad that I’ll be able to connect directly with my supporters of my art and continue to change lives with my music. I’m originally from Jacksonville, Florida. I’m a military brat, my dad retired in Florida and me and the rest of family settled there. I couldn’t stay still, so when I graduated high school, I moved to New York City to live my dream of becoming a recording artist. I lived out my dream there for 8 years and right after me and my ex broke up after 5 years together, I decided I needed to move to Los Angeles, California 2020 before the pandemic. I remember this place being one of the stops during the tour I was on back in 2019 with Samoht. I came here and I can recall saying that LA reminded me of a tall glass of water it was so refreshing and I needed this because I got a chance to take a break from my thoughts. I’ve been here for two years now and my experience have been great in so many ways. I finally get a chance to sit with myself and get to know who Devin Tracy is. I’m glad for what New York has taught me and I do miss the food honestly. The song AMAZING is a beautiful piece about being sexually free. When I wrote this song I was on cloud 9, high as a kite and I didn’t want to come down. Lost in my apartment slightly depressed and still questioning where I was in my life and my relationship with self at the time..I kept smiling at the fact I was beginning to feel free. All I can think about was the night before and the lyrics started flowing. The song is about having intimacy with a person you really like, and you haven’t had that in a while or for others you haven’t had it in that capacity at all. It also speaks about feeling free from judgement and wanting to have that feeling over and over again. That feeling you get where you think can touch God, that feeling you had when you’re on a vacation in Turks and Caicos Island and you dive in the water, and you feel how clean and beautiful it is as you swim to the surface. The adrenalin of you getting on your favorite roller coaster ride and in the beginning, you see the drop before the ride starts and once it starts you have no other choice but to commit. That’s the feeling, I had the feeling again and again and again and when I wanted it I got it. During the pandemic we all know some people haven’t had the correct intimacy from the right person. I would hear stories of people having amazing sex which is great but afterwards there was no recollection of it happening again or of this person staying. My experience was a bit different I can remember every piece, every placement, the smell, the sound, the colors I saw. It was almost like a musical cinematic movie but with a lot of drama and live action. In other words, a bunch of passion between two special individuals. The song is also therapeutic and calming because to me that’s what it was felt like in the beginning. I’m a cancer so my emotions run real deep. I really hope this song resonates with you and give you therapy like it did for me. I want others to see the importance of being sexually free and being themselves. It’s ok to have an experience with other people and do what your heart desires. As long as the intentions are in the right place there’s going to be good that comes out it regardless of where you are. Just make sure you protect yourself and continue to love yourself.
