It’s a sadly predictable and cautionary tale for every naive hopeful girl who doesn’t realize that getting to where you want to go in the world of entertainment often involves predatory men in power who always want something in exchange. I’m no stranger to this story in my own life, which is why I feel like it needs to be talked about more. It’s a dark reality disguised in an upbeat, fun, country-esque tune.”
