I grew up in New York City and it feels like my entire life has been spent reclaiming my relationship with the planet. From having to stay on-guard 24/7 to only experiencing slices of green space, it's really difficult to understand what really matters: Sneakers? Fast fashion? The gangster code? Growing my own food and plugging into resilient local economies has given me more fulfillment than anything I gained in the warped version of city life. This song is a prayer, a blessing for what we can build using these tools that mean so much more than cool collectibles. We are redefining value and who gets to benefit from it.
