I wrote this song over winter break during my junior year of college. During this break, I was struggling to complete projects due to overthinking, so I found a random beat online and sat there until I wrote the full song. The idea was for it all to be recorded in one take. This would give me practice with writing and recording longer takes. Throughout the process, I started to enjoy the song more and more. I was able to let go of any expectations of song structure and just write. The song title stems from this idea, "ya ya ya," to show it is what it is. A short yet catchy hook followed by bars that encapsulate my mind in the moment. Residual feelings of my breakup mixed with feelings of new experiences gave me a way to discuss my current mental state. A bit confused but pushing forward, and at the same time showing self-love and love for others. The constant switching of flows represents how I was playing around.
