WHY I DO WHAT I DO I have to do what I do… I’m an artist at the soul level and writing, singing, producing and performing music is the best way for me to make sense of the world and myself. In turn, if I can make the listener feel understood, happier, connected to a greater whole then my job is done - that’s my definition of success in the music industry - touching hearts. I’ve been in this full time since 2019 and it’s the only thing I do. As a writer/producer/singer I’ve gathered over 100 million streams and as a solo artist over 30 million streams. MY SOUND GENESIS I believe that the Sound.xyz community has the potential to get what I’m trying to build in this new day and age and would like to be in this with me for the long haul. Being on the edge of tech with a meaningful approach and solid plan is something that I’m sure the Sound.xyz collectors will appreciate. So this is my genesis track on Sound, and the first drop of a three-part series over the next couple months. I’m not here to make a quick buck, I’m here to build a community of tech enthusiasts, music enthusiasts and frontrunners in a new wave. After releasing music for six years straight, doing therapy for my cPTSD I've decided this year to not burn myself out and really focus inward on what I need. 'Too Heavy' is me being candid about what is going on beneath the surface a lot of the days. It's a peek behind the curtain in my psyche as I try to build something new and exciting in 2024 and beyond. It's why I'm changing strategies this year and not putting as much pressure on myself like I used to do because life, for me, often is 'Too Heavy'. This approach to music and music ownership combined with the direct to listener and likeminded hearts is something that fires me up to no end! WHY YOU SHOULD CARE I’ve been doing this since 2010 when I was 20 after visiting NYC and dreaming about what I should do with my life. I came back to Europe and started using the internet to teach myself how to write music, sing songs, produce tracks, perform and play guitar in my Mom’s basement for three years in solitude. I played the drums for seven years, from 7 years old until about 14. But I was always captivated by guitar, guitar solos and piano from a young age. So besides guitar (my main instrument) I produce all my own music (at least 90% of it) and I pretty much use any instrument I can find as long as it adds to my music and universe I'm trying to create. Fun Fact: I was into Bitcoin mining well over a decade ago and bought a pizza with it back then… I don’t even remember the pizza. I started playing live on stages in 2013 and then in 2018 I released my first single on Spotify: “I’m Gone”. It never got more than 100 streams but I released the second single a month later because I know what I’m building: a community, a tribe, a group of like minded and warm compassionate people. Fun Fact: I owned and operated one of the biggest Rockstar Games fan sites in the world from 2008 until 2013. Got flown out to NYC 2 times by Rockstar, once to play ‘Max Payne 3’ and a second time to play GTA ONLINE before it hit the public. What I believe is that there are many many people out there with very similar life experiences but don’t have ways to process it. I love to be that conduit for my listeners while at the same time exploring new avenues of consuming, distributing and experiencing the music and my life story. WHAT’S NEXT I’ve been releasing music since 2018 and I’m so thankful for everything I’ve achieved. Yet I think that a lot of my current songs didn’t get the love and appreciation that I think they deserved. This year is focussed on me building a solid live act, getting people into the fold of what I’m building before I’m releasing brand new and amazing music in 2025 and supporting my current body of work. However, letting those brand new songs collect dust on a harddrive until 2025 while there are people out there who could be enjoying these songs and actually want to move into the future with me would be such a waste! With the guidance and support by Jason Meinzer and the opportunities presented to artists in this day and age this seems like the perfect time to start building that Warmheart Society!
