The piano solo piece 'Farewell' emerged from an idea that lingered in my mind for several years. During this time, I experimented with it, exploring different variations until, finally, in 2021, the composition took its definitive form. Only the original motif remained, serving as the heart of the completed piece. The title of this piece came to mind after reflecting on its completion.
 While a 'farewell' often evokes feelings of sadness or melancholy, there are also moments of reminiscence about the beautiful times shared, leading to brief glimpses of brighter moods. Ultimately, parting is inevitable, and the music in this piece aims to reflect this emotional journey. The cover art depicts the bark of a tree, symbolising a comforting blanket that shields us when we feel vulnerable, as we yearn for the strength of the tree itself. The Golden Egg is the 'natural' version of the cover art.
