About "Nostalgia" This piano piece arose from a few bars improvisation. I revisited this idea four years later and varied a little around it. Finally, in 2021, I completed the piece, which was then published in 2022. In finding a suitable title for this track and listening to it after a few days of absence, I realised it exuded nostalgic feel.
The cover art aims to represent this nostalgic approach. I remembered a silhouette of my profile created by a street paper cut artist in my childhood and felt this form of art would be a fitting choice.
After familiarising myself with how to create paper cut art using a program for illustrations, I came up with a somewhat humorous take on the composition process -with me as the model. Adding a "paper cut like" artwork, the nostalgic thoughts about a childhood memory, and, of course, the vibe of the composition together was the final step for ´Nostalgia´. The Golden Egg is a variation of the cover that incorporates the minting process -with the same whimsically smile of an older child.
