this came from an experiment with my modular synthesizers, where i created a really interesting sequence using the moog subharmonicon. the pattern is set to stochastically, or randomly, change, but all evened out to really lovely intervals and tones. the uniqueness of this piece is what happened after -- it was recorded directly to 1/4' reel to reel revox b77 tape machine. from there, i resampled it between a tascam 424 mk i and a tascam 844 over 10 times. through the process of rerecording the sequence between tapes creates beautiful degradation as the magnetic tape wears and alters. this track is free to use for anyone who mints with attribution to Tommy Champion
