7 years ago I met a producer on Soundcloud named Danrell. He was in Sweden & I was in the US. We made an EP called 'Morphine' by sending files back and forth. We still somehow have not met in person but we are back together again with a part 2 of 'Being Alone Feels Like I'm Drowning' & we hope you enjoy it. A message from a mystery source: This release marks the end of a 4 year hiatus for the long term collaboration between LA artist Alec King and Swedish producer Danrell. Their music was best described by Indie Shuffle: ”I know I like the track, but I can't quite put my finger on why”. BAFLID combines Danrell’s sun-soaked beat with influences from the French 60’s Yé-Yé pop movement with melancholic vocals from Alec about how being alone feels like you’re drowning, but ironically the longer you are alone, the easier it is to breathe.
