GOODIE BAG V2 WITH DEEGAN from deegan: "aly held my hand through this process and showed me how to not be a little baby when it comes to recording how you feel in the moment" from aly: i met deegan at daniel allan's malibu writing camp for glass house and we instantly connected. we made BUCK and a couple other songs that have never seen the light of day, but always stayed in touch. when i moved to LA i hit dee up to work and this is what came out. the whole goodie bag was produced by deegan and i. this was the first goodie bag i ever made, deegan was the first artist crazy enough to try this concept with me. truthfully if these sessions bombed i might never have made another one. to think about where the goodie bag idea has taken me so far, having only having dropped one, that makes me so so grateful for deegan as a person, artist and producer. a word on goodie bags: each individual "GOODIE BAG" is like an entire album condensed into a single song. i see each one as a full collaborative project between myself and another artist, all packaged into a bite-sized chunk. this format feels like a natural progression after creating SWEETS, SWEETS 2, and the incredible success to the BLOODY BAG that won the Optimism WLTA competition earlier this year.
