State of Mind is an introspective Pop song about coming to terms with the fact that pain is a part of life. I wrote it when I realized that pushing down my sadness only made it worse and that I shouldn't feel guilty for not being happy all the time. I can be grateful for my life and still give myself credit for the hard things I go through. You can cry to it, dance to it, and embrace all your emotions. Hope it reminds you that you're not alone and you have nothing to be ashamed of.
