​Grady offers reprieve from the growing pains of healing past trauma with the soft sounds and gentle humility of his track “Jersey.” Expressing evolving self awareness, Grady grapples with needing to let someone go on account that his heart is not entirely available. Understated in all the right ways, Grady’s earnest lyricism floats off his lips with effortless ease while the drums offer a grounding, tempered, steady place to rest. The guitar riff during the interlude is especially comforting, as if gently weeping with a kind smile. Honest and painful in the discomfort of breaking a heart, “Jersey” offers the pay off of acceptance and maturity. It's a piece of his heart, saved for the one he needed to let free. In Grady’s words, “She’ll always have a piece of me. And here it is.”
