Too Far Gone is sung from the perspective of a lurking crow. He observes a man who’s too in love with his woman to realize she would rather be anywhere than with him. She only sees herself when she looks at him. The man’s mental state morphs from denial to obsession to psychosis. For this track, I was heavily inspired by the likes of Prefab Sprout, David Bowie, Talking Heads and Grace Jones.
