The origins of this song dates back to June 2023 when the lyrics were first written and published by our lyricist on his blog https://nevillehiatt.com/wordpress/in-her-own-words/ With rates of homelessness increasing in Australia as well as other countries it felt like the right time to record it. What wasn't realised at the time of selecting the songs for our new album 2024.03 was that the first two songs on the album were so connected.
