I Killed My Friend?

I wrote “I Killed My Friend?” about a bad dream that felt weirdly comparable to a feeling of falling away from, or losing touch with what defines me as a person. The world feels like it moves at increasingly breakneck speeds and I use nostalgia as a tool for momentary slow downs. “Hopscotch on a railroad track” is a line that repeats several times, which is an example of something that can slow down a moment for me, temporarily pausing the feeling of free-falling that I compare to the dream in the song. This track might appeal to listeners who appreciate introspective lyrics set to an energetic backdrop.
