I arranged the ancient Maqam Do-Wale for classical guitar. Nowadays, Do-Wale is played by Kurdish Tambour. Do-Wale narrates the romantic legends of the east like Khosrow-Shirin and Leili-Majnoon (Eastern Rome Juliet). The word Do-Wale means Two Lunatic Lovers. Do-Wale Maqam; semantically, rhythmically and etymologically relates to the Waltz. Both Waltz and Do-Wale refer to lunatic revolve of lovers. Also, both contain three-beat rhythms.
