This poem had been in my notes app since about 2017.. I always knew I needed to do something with it. My friend told me one time "I feel like people need to hear this". The beat came to me while I was on drums at a jam session, and then I recorded it a couple weeks later. There's no cuts or sampling, that's just me playing drums live. I made 4 different vocal tracks - down the octave, regular speech, a regular double, and a higher one that is more sung than spoken.
