Mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Beau Vallis, this is a remix to Kayode's 2017 release Liner Notes that features Krayzie Bone is a tribute to Cleveland hip-hop. It also provides a historical snapshot into how Kayode once opened up for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony at the Agora in their respective hometown. Kayode highlights the hook from the original version as well as a new verse to honor the group and the legacy that they created. It also features a speech that Krayzie Bone shared to those that honored the group at the renaming ceremony for E. 99th & St. Clair to Bone Thugs-n-Harmony Way. Kayode also has roots in that area and wanted to highlight that with his bars.
"I moved back to Cleveland to help revitalize the infrastructure. I bought property to rehabilitate and sell back to the community. Even though i eventually lost my commercial property due to various reasons, we did have a community garden and provided a splash of life on E 142nd and Westropp during that brief amount of time," Kayode laments. "I pray that the sale of this record can encapsulate that moment in time and inspire others to contribute to their community in a positive way. I would love to be able to acquire property again with proceeds from my music in order to upgrade the experience from my first run."
