I wrote this song back in early 2021. At the time I was flat broke and my mental health was at an all time LOW. I thought it would be a good idea to stop taking my meds my doctor prescribed me because I believed I could handle my depression and anxiety. I was wrong lol. It was mid January in New Jersey. Freezing cold night. I decided to take a drive to clear my head. I live ten minutes outside of Philly and normally I drive down to the beach to clear my head. However, for some reason I decided to drive to New York City. Idk what compelled me to do it but I just did it anyways. So as I'm driving on the highway for what seems to be an hour and a half I see a big city and get really pumped up. But for some reason it wasn't New York. I ended up in Philly somehow. I took the same road I always take to NYC and I was right where I started after driving for an hour and a half. I was terrified but also wildly inspired to write a song so I went into my studio and went at it. Deja Vu was born that night. Hope you enjoy and hope you take care of yourself friends.
