Poem "LOAM" I saw a city steeped in endless calm, Shattered by time that stretches without end. There, wires hum beneath the wind’s wild psalm, And windows stare, blind to the void they tend. Once, people built their world with dreams of might, To rule o’er all that is, their grand design. But now their flame is quenched, their reason slight, Leaving an echo in the skies’ loud whine. Sand and ash weave patterns in the air, Footsteps of the past drown in silence deep. What did we seek in our mad, fervent prayer? Why did we raise these walls so high and steep? And in this world where only shadows roam, Nature whispers: "All shall return to loam."
