Refugee Guitars Orchestra, envisioned and directed by Omar Alkilani, serves as a vibrant project where a diverse group of refugee musicians come together to create a fusion of traditional and modern music. Each project becomes a dynamic collaboration, with different refugee musicians participating. Since its inception in 2019 this artistic initiative has already produced an E.P that beautifully showcase the blending of different cultures from all, over the world. Looking ahead the project aims to transform these creations into events and music videos envisioning a journey that celebrates the universal language of music. "Smack That" stands out as a vibrant, multicultural music video mashup with a powerful underlying message: refugees can be resilient, cool individuals who can thrive in modern society despite the challenges of displacement.
