“SUPERVILLAIN” is a fierce record about losing touch with your inner child and becoming a ‘villain’ in your own story. This record touches on a period in my life where I turned to emotional numbness as a coping mechanism for facing heightened criticism and insecurities growing up. The goal was to be at peace but the product of this coping mechanism was becoming angry and bitter at the world around me. This record is track two of a four-track EP releasing later this year titled “DANCING IN SILENCE.” The EP explores my journey of losing and rediscovering my inner child. The title and premise of the EP is summed up by this: “A kid doesn’t need music to dance. A kid can dance in silence. Because he has music in his head every day of the week, wherever he goes. He’s free.” “SUPERVILLAIN” also features an incredible, motivational verse by Louie C Rhymes, a pioneer in the web3 hip hop space and the person largely responsible for onboarding me into the space.
