This song is a follow up to Pretty Traumatized. It goes deeper into the mental turmoil of life after facing my mortality but it’s dripping in sarcasm because that’s my permanent state. When we were working on it in the studio, I just tried to find melodies that felt great for me to sing and that felt like they did the lyrics emotional justice. I think Gingerbread perfectly executed this uncanny, fantasy feeling in the production. I hope when you listen it heals you in some way. I think I’m done singing about my health and that part of my past for a while so this song is special. My whole heart is in this record so handle with care. ily.
