"HEAVY IS THE CROWN" was the first song I wrote and produced at the beginning of my "Blonde Rocker" era. For years prior, I primarily focused on electronic pop music, that at times, felt a little monotone and one note - though always fun, I wanted to try something that felt more "true" to me. A song about personal sacrifice for the sake of a larger dream, HITC is a snapshot into a moment in time where I thought I needed to devote everything I had to where I wanted to be. While true in some cases, I found that it's not always necessary; all of the wonderful things you hope for yourself can exist together, all at once.
