This is the opening movement of a three-part instrumental suite from my album "Tableaux Electroniques." It’s the chronicle of a fictional voyage upon the open sea, setting sail into the unknown, coping with moments of homesickness and moments of elated joy. Fact is I’ve never even seen the ocean, and hope that it doesn’t show too much! The main melodies themselves are borrowed from two pieces of my lifelong musical project, "Moods and Modes," fancifully named "From The Joy" and "Sail Away." "Moods and Modes" is a neverending collection of short instrumental pieces that traverse genres, an open playground I use to remix, reshape and recreate. All the revenue from this release will be used to professionally remaster one of the original short pieces, so many thanks for your help funding these future steps!
