Songbird: Originally created as a demo, last year I wrote songbird in an attempt to create a conceptual story over acoustic guitars. The story surrounds a man on his last will, who decides to take one more day to himself to appreciate the last moments of his life, only to be brought back to reality when he hears a bird sing a melody that shakes him. The song is written as a thank you letter to the bird after that moment. Fast forward to today... I had the pleasure of meeting with Taylor Alexander as he visited our hometown. While talking I felt an instant connection on how to take this song one step further. Featuring his luscious vocals he continues the story forward encapsulating the theme of the song and resulting in a full length story.
