I was in NYC for the launch of You Can Dream in April, and on the last day before traveling to Miami, I saw LaRussell's story on IG mentioning that he was accepting feature requests. From the first moment I idealized, composed, and wrote "In This World," I wanted LaRussell to be part of it. LaRussell's purpose to empower each and every one of us to pursue what we love and believe in is at the core of this song. "In This World" reveals my fear of shifting from being a tech founder to going all in to pursue what my heart wants. Throughout my life, I looked for social acceptance, validation, and recognition instead of searching for love, authenticity, craftsmanship, and legacy. This song reflects my emotional journey to break free and feel confident to be who I really am.
